Seeing is believing (so think critically)

How do you think critically if seeing is believing?

After all, you saw it with your own eyes. It has to be true, right?

We know that images can be photoshopped.

And, everyone understands that Iron Man doesn’t really exist. (We recognize that special effects make things look like we’re living in a video game.)

We also even know that historical footage can be altered to rewrite the past. (Hello, Forest Gump!)

But, somehow, when we watch a video of someone doing something on their computer, we often take it at face value.
